Each of these soup bowls has been carefully crafted from strong sheet steel. The original enamel coating is produced according to the process that has been used for centuries. During this manufacturing process, the small air bubbles and flaking appear in the enamel coating - both essential key features of enamel products. The enamelling process of melting powder glass onto metal at around 800 degrees was first used in the 18th century.
The white soup bowl with black print is classically provided with the fine, black line on the edges that is typical of enamel. It has two loop handles so that it can also be decorated or kept hanging.
